The Innovative Users Group will prepare online summaries of forums from the Fourteenth Annual IUG Conference in Denver. Volunteer recorders will attend forums presented by IUG members and summarize the sessions. Two volunteers are needed for each forum.

What You Need to Do:

• Attend the forum you volunteered to cover
• Take notes
• Coordinate with the other volunteer for your forum and prepare a 1-2 page summary of the forum in Word or WordPerfect
• Send the summary to the program coordinator to review first, and then
• Submit the summary to Paddy Satzer (pasatzer@stthomas.edu) by June 26th, 2006
  

Before the Session:

Contact the program coordinator and introduce yourself, by email in advance or in person at the conference. Make sure you know how to contact each other.

Formatting of Summary:

• No need to include IUG logos
• Include the program number (e.g., H2) next to the program name at the top of the summary
• Include the names of coordinators, presenters, and yourselves, along with institutions, on each summary.
• Summarize using complete sentences, not outlines
• Try and keep length to 2 pages if possible, but we're flexible
• Send your file in Word or WordPerfect format as an email attachment

Paddy Satzer (pasatzer@stthomas.edu ) is matching up volunteers with forums to be recorded. Check the Forum Volunteer Assignments List to see which sessions still need to be matched, then contact Paddy if you'd like to volunteer for an unassigned session.
