Located in the Library Services Center just north of downtown Indianapolis, we seek an effective and enthusiastic individual to join our team and lead the centralized Acquisitions and Collection Development department of six, within the Collection Management Services Area division. Position Summary.
Under limited direction, manages the order and selection of materials for the library with a $5.5 million annual operating budget, and funds from grants and special projects for 25+ locations. Compiles materials budget reports; acts as a member of the management team for Collection Management and represents the department in contacts with other areas of the library; coordinates and provides orientation and instruction for system-wide collection procedures (using the ILS and other collection management tools). The Manager is responsible to plan, direct, and oversee the operations of the ordering and selection department. Provides departmental leadership and direction in support of the organization’s goals through staffing, training, performance management, and directing department workflow. Responsible for planning and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable optimal performance of employees, processes and service to the public.

Compensation. The position offers a hiring hourly rate range of $54,118 - $83,341 (dependent upon experience and qualifications) and includes an excellent benefits packagebenefits package.
