We just upgraded to Sierra 4.3 and have been looking forward to using the actual item price field in our print templates for due slips. Right now I do not see the item price in the print template field library. Has anyone done this? Is there some update to JasperSoft I need to do? And if anyone has the java expression to add the checked out item prices together I would really appreciate it.
Thank you!
Kathy

Kathy,

I did a presentation on this at IUG Phoenix. My guess is you are not using the latest Innovative template.
1. Open your current template in Jaspersoft Studio
2. In Sierra, export the most recent Innovative template for due slips. (__dueslip) AND open it in Jaspersoft Studios
So now you have both open.
3. Copy all the information from your current slip on top of the III one.
Only the latest III template will have the new features.

Hope that helps, otherwise email me at eric@suffolknet.org

Hey Kathy, did you ever get the expression to use and/or an example due slip using the actual values? I am using Phil Shirley's version with the estimated price, which I think (can't remember exactly) I did by assigning values to item types.

Hoping not to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks,

Alison

Hi all,

Attached is a sample due slip with the actual savings price and not the estimated. To use, you would need to be on Sierra 4.3.

Best,

Thanks Eric, I'm playing around with it and hope I can persuade our director to start using this - she was concerned about us using estimates, which may skew higher than the actual cost of the item.
