Re: [IUG] Self-Issue and Fines Payments Kiosk

Thanks for the information.

We have Ecommerce and customers can pay fines via the web regardless if it is over our fine block limit.

It is too bad the kiosk only allows you to pay fines below the block. It is not clear to me why it would work that way.

We would like to give our customes a smoother experience with if they find they can not check out due to fines they can just pay right at the express check then check out mateials. No need to go to two seperate places. That seems smartest to me.

I had heard 3M was working on something but did not remember the details. I do like the concept of paying with coins. Well it is nice for customers seems like it could be work for staff.

Thanks again,

Hi Mona

Just to confirm that what Lise says applies to us as well - our kiosk
only accepts coins and only fines less than the maximum owed block
(£10.00 in our case) can be paid. It is "hooked up" to our 3M V-Series
Self-Service machine which in turn uses a SIP2 licence and connects to
Millennium.. However, we are just about to go live with the web-based
Fines Payment API product which will enable our users to pay any fines
over £5.00.
