Re: [IUG] HTML source code displayed when placing a hold in Firefox&Safari

Hi,
We experienced the same problem but so far it's been staff who
reported it with Firefox and I've reported it. This is what seems to
happen here---if a staff person using Firefox tries to place a hold on
an item that is available at the branch, they get the HTML rather than
the page that says that their hold was unsuccessful. This does not
happen if they are logged into their accounts and try to place a hold on
an available item. Judy

Samantha

Wow, that's weird - I can confirm what you observed -
works with IE7 but not with Firefox 3.
It's something to do with the javascript - better put in a helpdesk
request

&Safari

We have recently received reports of problem placing holds for Firefox
and Safari users. Our library does not allow holds on a bib. record when
items are showing "available". It is in this scenario, a page with the
HTML source code is presented to a user instead of the MY ACCOUNT login.
Does anyone else experience the same issue?
