[IUG] different sounds for different results - barcode scanning

Our circ manager just asked, "can we make the beeps sound different, so we can tell easily when there's an error, or someone's trying to check out a non-circulating item"?
 
I found the Sounds Tab in the Login Manager ... and found that we have the "disable sounds" button chosen. But there's still always a beep when the barcode reader successfully scans a barcode! 
 
I tried changing to "use default beep", closed Millennium then went back in, and the sounds are no different.
 
Has anyone successfully selected different sounds for "error" or "holds ready"? If so, could you give me any pointers?
