Said,
One of the Regional systems that I work for is currently using
drupal for their site. I just set them up with a basic Drupal site, the
project leader on their end did all the customization and data entry
with a little consultation from me. They are just using one of the
readily available Drupal themes and standard modules. They also have
their individual branch libraries keep their own pages up to date, which
means each page has it's own unique layout, but makes the whole thing
very sustainable for them.

One of my favorite Drupal library sites is the Ann Arbor District
Library, http://aadl.org. They have written a drupal module that
replaces the webpacpro as a frontend to the catalog, they call it the
SOPAC, or Social Opac.

The Darien Public Library is going live with the next version of that
drupal module on Sept 1st.

They are planning on releasing the module under the GPL license when
they have a chance. Oh, and it will support more than just III as the
backend, so it wouldn't be a source of more lock in.
Here is screenshot of the SOPAC 2.0 account screen.

Please,
Has any library used an open source tool to build and manage its site? What tool is the best: Drupal, Joomla, or Plone?
Thanks,
