[IUG] Using Create Lists instead of Paging Lists
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
Hi there,
We've decided to stop using the built-in Title Paging and Item Paging
reports. We are instead using a Create List to find items with holds
that match some additional criteria.
We're encountering the following problems:
* The Create List is showing "Frozen Holds"
* The Create List shows how many copies are on the shelf,
irregardless of how many requests there are (i.e. if we have 3 copies on
the shelf, and there is only 1 hold, the title is listed 3 times).
Is anyone else pulling holds in this manner? Have you discovered a
means of eliminating "Frozen Holds?"
Thanks,

In case anyone is curious, here are more details:
The criteria we're using is as follows:
In short:
* a bib OR title level hold must exist (if item level, then not in
a status of Hold Shelf or In Transit since all trapped holds are
item-specific)
* The loan rule must be 0 (meaning, not checked out)
* The status must be either checked in, on display, or in storage
(statuses we created)
* The item location is specific to each branch
We sort by item location, call#, and author
We are exporting:
In Excel, after a little formatting, it looks like this (which wastes a
lot less paper...):
--- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts ---
multipart/related
multipart/alternative
text/plain (text body -- kept)
