Re: [IUG] Patron recode templates problem

I think Eeva is also correct about the message popping up here as well. As I recall, this message shows up whenever the patron operation would go over the max threshold listed in the block table -- it isn't a "problem with the record", it's just that the patron has reached the limit. There is an enhancement request to make this message customizable.

Andrea: Do you have an expiry date set in the patron records? If you
are blocking by Expiry Date, it is possible that the lack of one might
be causing this to happen! (just a thought)...I hope this helps! Kind
regards and have a SUPER day! Eeva

Since we started using the circ module about three years ago we have
used the default patron record template to create all of our patron
records without any modification. Recently we decided to create
separate record templates with prompts for fixed and variable fields
for
each of the patron types we have in our system. Right now we have six
p
types so we created six new patron record templates. I followed the
directions found in the manual and thought the templates were working
fine. Yesterday we created a patron record for a new patron.
Everything seems to work fine they can access online resources and get
into my millennium but when they try to place a hold in the web Opac
they get a message that says "Something is wrong with your patron
record
please see a librarian". I checked the loan rule and the rule applied
to the p type allows the patron to place a hold. The older patron
records made from the original template work fine. I think something
is
not right with our patron templates I think I am missing something
simple. Any help is appreciated.
