Dear Natalie,

Thank you very much for your answer, but unfortunately I don't use sites in Dreamweaver. I'm using Transmit, which is a regular FTP client working on Mac.

I've received a couple of emails but still experiencing the same problem. Nothing changed.

I've also tried to go Dreamweaver menu (that's in Mac) then Preference, then Code Format, then clicked on Tag Library Editor. I've elimanted all the indentations that are in the menu, restarted dreamweaver but still no luck.

DW is acting up and it's giving hard time .. any more ideas?

Many thanks and appreciate everyone's effort.

Dear Robeen Alnounu,

I don't know if you've had an answer to this, or whether this will help,
but in my version of Dreamweaver (MX) in Site - Edit Sites - select site
- Edit - Remote Info - Firewall Settings - Code Format make sure that
the Indent checkbox is unchecked. This should stop Dreamweaver placing
indents before your tokens.

Hope this helps,

Thank you, Pedro. I've checked that and it's all good. Can't tell what's
wrong. All what I changed is the title of the browser screen from
Millennium Web Catalog to our catalog name. Then, the header, footer,
search box, and submit button all disappears. I know they are tokens,
but what happened? I've checked that all these tokens are by themselves
in separate lines. Nothing before or after. I'm using Dreamweaver and
it's probably the problem.

If any one knows what I should with Dreamweaver to force it NOT to
insert any hidden characters before/after the tokens, I'll greatly
appreciate it.

Thanks.

Make sure you don't have any unclosed </ul> or </il> html tag around
the tokens.

Thank you, Ted. I know that and there is no space after and before
the tokens.

Any other ideas why they are disappearing?

Thanks.

Regarding you Dreamweaver/Tokens question on the III listserv:

Dreamweaver often moves tokens away from the left margin when pages
are edited. After editing you have to look at the tokens in your
page code and move them back to the left margin, because tokens
don't work if they are placed anywhere else. This is why your
searchboxes are disappearing. This is a known III/Dreamweaver quirk.
