Hello,

The feeds are fine, the problem lies with the server. I think some readers are unable to access/navigate/understand etc. the Millennium server. E.g. in Pageflakes attempting to add the rss feed found at http://138.253.100.105/live/feeds/rsssci.xml displays an error that the location doesn't contain a feed, but going to this url brings up the feed as normal.

I have found that if the feeds are added to a regular server (i.e. an old PC with Apache 2.0.59 running) so the feed is now found at http://pc072027.lib.liv.ac.uk/rsssci.xml, then the feed is read by Pageflakes.

To get around this problem on a daily basis I'm attempting to set-up an automatic scheduled ftp of the RSS feeds from Millennium to this server.

Hope this helps,
Joe.

Subject: [IUG] Feed Readers

Hi

We have FeedBuilder installed and have just started testing reading the feeds
with different Feed Readers and have encountered a lot of problems. For
example, we can read them using Firefox Live Bookmarks, IE7 and FeedReader but
our Web Page Expert has tried reading them with 3 different dedicated RSS
Software readers which rely on "well-formed XML" and they don't work.

I've seen similar problems reported on this list but can't find any mention of
Innovative having come up with a solution. I have opened a call with them but
wanted to ask you all if anyone has managed to overcome this?

Many thanks.
