Tyra -- It has been a while, so this may all be outdated.

But in regards to when the Auto notices print, that is something that is set by the helpdesk. You can have the auto notices go at any time. When I was at Toledo and the product was new, we set it up to run multiple times during the day - to catch the hold pickups and other notices that were generated during the day. It worked great at Toledo because we were not printing the notices (as a cost reduction measure). So we were only doing email notices (which worked great with auto notices.

The issue with physically printing them is tricky. When we implemented it (again - years ago), we were discouraged to send any of these to an actual printer because of connection and printing problems that could occur (no paper, printer off line, etc.). When we setup the auto notices, we were not dealing with printing at all.

I hope this helps.

Best -- Corey

Subject: [IUG] Another Auto Notices Question

Hello again,
How do you go about printing notices that are generated by auto notices?
I stupidly assumed the print notices would go to a queue for staff to
access and send to a printer.
Are the ones sent to a print file formatted to print just as if they
were manually created and sent to the system printer?

Thanks!
Tyra
