Ours sends more than 13 (10 with "garbage"), but Syndetics works with it:

Well, Syndetics might, but if the ISBN10 plus garbage is first, and you use any other function that sends the ISBN "out" (Z39.50, links to other databases), it may fail. That is why I mentioned the patch, which will then send 10 of an ISBN10 and 13 of an ISBN13, as it should have in the first place. With Amazon, the covers worked (they ignore anything after the first 10) but the index searches failed. And, of course, presently Amazon believes they will never need to support ISBN13 for their ASIN, which stance I hope they do not maintain too long.
