Hi Deanna,
If I understood you correctly, you want to just get rid of the Modify button
altogether for now. If so, the quickest fix for your dilemma would be to rename
the image file on your server that is being called to the screen (rename it so
that you don't wipe it out -- you might need it again later!)
Then create a 1x1 pixel transparent image, name it modify.gif and upload it to
replace the current image with that name that is being displayed in your search
results. The image will still be there, but it will be invisible.
There may be other ways to go about this, but this is the fastest I can think of.
Hope it helps,

We have updated to version 2005 which means that AVS was turned on. We are in
the process of a major redo of our web pages and I need the keyword searching to
look as much like it did in the past until the new pages are approved. My
problem is if I use the Y search it has a modify button that needs to be removed
and the limits (AVS search) is left off. If I use the X search it is way off
from our old web pages.
My questions are how do I get rid of the modify button?
Our web page is http://portal.tamucc.edu
We are excited about going to AVS, I just need to get this running for tomorrow
when classes start with as little change in the look as possible.
All help would be greatly appreciated.
Deanna
