- Subject: RE: [IUG] Release 2006LE - RSS feeds feature
Hello,
I have a related follow-up question. Although I have been able to get our RSS feeds to work in staging (
http://catalogs.ohsu.edu:2082/feeds/, really long RSS addresses (including the BBC URL in the feeds_example.html page, of
http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsplayer_world_edition/sci-tech/rss.xml) do not show up. I suspect this is because the total line of code, as shown below, is wrapping to more than one line. Has anyone else encountered this? If so, does anyone know how to fix it? I have backspaced/rewritten this line of code a number of times and it still does not show up.
<div class="rssfeed">
<!--{RSS:
http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsplayer_world_edition/sci-tech/rss.xml:
5:1:1:1}-->
</div>
Thank you.

Monique,
Have you tested the feeds_example.html page from the 2006LE Example Set?
They built in some incoming feeds at the bottom of the page that started
to work once they enabled it, and then worked better once I set the
wwwoptions as suggested in the manual.
Good Luck!
Kim

Subject: [IUG] Release 2006LE - RSS feeds feature
I'm trying to set up the new "incoming RSS feeds" feature that is part
of the web OPAC in release 2006LE, but am not having any success
although innovative has done their piece to enable the feature and it
appears to be a very simple setup. In particular, I'm not sure what the
"FEEDS_PORT" option should be (from manual page 106685), as the example
they give does not work.
Just wondering if anyone has had any success with this feature yet and
might be able to offer some advice?
Thanks!
