Millennium upgrade questions
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
After a year and a half of fundraising and quote getting, we're *this*
close to getting the go ahead to go from Innopac to Millennium. Before
I get the green light however my administration would like a "rough"
timeline for implementation.
How long has it taken others to go from Innopac to Mill? We are pretty
behind in our upgrades (Release 2001 D). Has anyone else gone though
something similar?
We would also be going from software only to Turnkey. How hard was this
transition to make? Any issues between campus IT, library & III?
Will we have to completely scrap our current load tables? Many of them
need updating but we're unclear as to the scope and the time it will
take.
Final question. If you don't have the "OCLC via the network" product,
how do you get your records from Connexion to your catalog? I've heard
conflicting things on this from III and don't want to buy a product we
don't need. We can get either "OCLC via the network" or "URL checker"
and I suspect "URL Checker" would be more useful.
TIA for any advice. We're a long time III customer and I need all my
ducks in a row before I make my final case to the administration.
