A couple of comments:

The preferred searches option, as Eeva mentioned, does work for saving 
title searches. If a patron knows how to use this feature, this could 
work very nicely as a future reading list.

As far as the new 2005 feature of "freezing" your hold, as tempting as 
it sounds, it works similarly to the "not wanted before" date of the 
holds system (verified by Innovative staff). If a patron freezes their 
hold until a future date and there are no holds on the title and it is 
not checked out at the time they unfreeze the item, the hold will not 
activate. This is the same major flaw that the not wanted before date has.
