- Subject: Millennium Circulation Notices Customization in Release 2002, Phase 3
We have just recently upgraded to Phase 3. One of the things we had been looking forward to in this release was the ability to customize our notices. Specifically, we want to be able to use a different format for our Hold pickup notices than for our overdues; in the past, setting up the notices in PAC allowed for only one format template, and we opted to use a format that worked best with our printed mailers for overdues, whereas we inform our patrons of Holds either with our Telephone Notification System or by e-mail. The only drawback has been that half of the patron's name and barcode get cut off in the e-mail notices since it is going by the the narrower template we have tailored to fit overdues.
Has anyone been able to successfully create two different formats, one each for Hold pickup and overdue notices? I remember this feature came up at a past (either this year's, last year's, or both...) IUG, and was described as one that would indeed allow us to custom seperate notices.
Thanks in advance,
William Gray
