I have a question for Innovative libraries that have upgraded to RFID technology: how does RFID affect the use of III's Inventory functions?

At present, we (as many do) use barcodes for identification of our library materials, and for Inventory purposes we use the Percon B321 barcode readers for scanning items on the shelf in order to upload to PAC. Does RFID require a totally new scanner for Inventory, or is there an RFID attachment for the Percon? In either case, has this altered the Inventory process at all, and if so, for better, for worse, or just different...?

Thank you in advance for sharing any experiences or insights on this topic.

Sincerely,
