Miriam, I don't see your small cover images at all in the browse list. I
have seen them on other sites. Don't know whether you or III may have
turned them off while investigating, but thought I'd mention it. I'm
viewing your catalog with MSIE 5.50.4807.2300IS. I believe this version
originally came with AOL, in case that's a factor also.

Subject: syndetic solutions content display problems 1 & 2

Hi,

We are looking at the Syndetic Solutions added content, but
things are not working quite right.

Problem 1. When you click on the small covers in the
briefcit.html browse display, you might or might not get a
display of the large cover. If you go to the bib and click on
the small cover, the large cover displays every time. Supposing
you have done a search with more than one screen of hits, this
is the pattern (do I guarantee it always works/notworks just
this way? no. but I think so):

Search for example Woods, Stuart
None of the little covers _from the first screen of hits_ will
connect to the large cover display.
Go to the first available cover on the second screen of hits. It
does display the large cover.
Now go back to the first screen of hits. The large covers now
will agree to display when you click on the little ones.

This behavior has baffled both Mr. Calgano at Syndetics, and the
III help desk. Has this happened to anyone else, and can you
suggest a cure?

Problem 2. When additional information is available, the list of
links presently displays in a frame with a "close" button. The
close button does not work. We have not been able to get a
display in a "child box" instead, and if we turn off FRAMEURL
the close button closes the whole browser (!).

Can someone give me the code for a child box instead of what
there is presently, or, if you have a framed display without a
close button (as I see several Syndetic users do), how did you
get rid of the button?

Thanks very much. Odds are I'll have more questions soon.
