I am hoping to transfer our serials exchange records from 8x10 cards to
Innovative. This seems a logical transition to an electronic database, but
because Innovative does not have a function for tracking exchanges I am
wondering if anyone else has done this. Clearly a benefit potential exists.
All of the serial titles we receive are catalogued in Innovative and I can
create vendor profiles for the exchange partner's information in the vendor
file.

I would like to identify or link the titles we send on exchange with the
partners who receive them. I would like to track the money we spend per
partner and compare with the approximate prices of titles we receive from
them. I can use the estimated cost field in the order record attached to
the bibs of their titles, but I cannot get price history comparisons or
totals from this field. Since we don't make payments there is no payment
history file.

Is anyone else doing this? Would you be willing to share your experiences?

Thanks.
