The ILL virtual record is a part of the patron file.
You can view this and film bookings entries by searching the patron .i
number from the cataloging module. Look under the persistent
information.
I believe the regular holds system looks at the item records for the
current status. And it can't do this with virtual
records.

Hello.
We have recently started using the III ILL module (text-based, not
Millennium) and are still getting all the bugs worked out. This
morning
we found that a pickup notice had printed for something that the
patron
had actually checked out yesterday afternoon. I thought that
perhaps
the system just queues the pickup message until it's printed in the
morning and doesn't pay attention to the status of the ILL item.
The
rest of our hold pickup notices (for regular holds on items in our
collection, not ILL items) DO seem to check the status of the item
before the notice is sent. In other words, for regular hold
pickup
notices, if the item has already been checked out to the patron it
does
not send a pickup notice. This does not seem to be the case in the
ILL
module. Is this this just something we have to live with or is
it
something we're doing wrong that can be fixed? It seems like it
would
be confusing to both the patron and our circulation student workers
to
get a pickup notice for something you've already checked out. If
anyone
else using the ILL module has any insight into this we would be
very
grateful!
