Reference/Instruction Librarian.  Goucher College seeks enthusiastic,
energetic and flexible individual for design and delivery of
instructional services.  Participates in a range of activities,
including reference collection maintenance and the faculty liaison
program.

Qualifications: ALA accredited MLS.  Strong service orientation more
important than level of experience.  Sensitivity to the concerns of a
liberal arts college library and its users, excellent communication
skills, a positive interpersonal style, the ability to work
independently and as part of a team, initiative.  Web design experience
a plus.  Position available January 2002.  Review of applications will
begin November 9 and continue until position is filled.  Salary $36,000.

Goucher College is a private highly selective liberal arts college of
about 1200 undergraduate students and 300 graduate students, located on
a 287 acre campus near Baltimore and an hour's drive from Washington
D.C.   Planning for expansion of the library is underway.   Notable
special collections include the Burke Jane Austen Collection.   Further
