Wow, there really must be a great difference. I use my Hewlett Parckard DAT
tapes once a week for a year and have NEVER had a message from the system
saying the tape was not readable. I just replace after a year on the advice
of others at a past IUG meeting.

Subject: DAT tapelife?

Anyone have any experience with Imation brand DAT tapes? I'm getting around
12 uses out of the DDS3's on an HP 24G drive before INNOPAC's Unattended
Backup program deems them unfit. III says I should have bought HP tapes but
is there really that much difference?

Thanks for any info.
