checkin records

	As with many III sites, we have checkin records (serials), many
with dates prior to 2000.  We would like to archive these records (so we
can possibly start with "fresh" records in the next fiscal year, coming up
in July) but we are not sure how to go about it.

	If you could share your expirience with us, we would greatly
appreciate it.
