Nancy,

While browsing the LC call # index one day I realized that I needed to "plug
the holes" in our SCAT table by creating some categories for invalid call
numbers that covered the span between two valid ranges.

Here's an example:
I've got a category for GN 0000-GN 9999.999 and another for GR 0000-GR
9999.999 which are both valid LC ranges. I wanted to "catch" anything
inbetween so I made another category for GO 0000-GQ 9999.999 and labeled it
"invalid call #." This way if a SCAT run lists anything in this category I
know what call # range to search for with a review file and I can find the
records that need to be fixed, or accounted for in the table in some other
way.

Hope this helps.

Candace
